Fantastic restaurant in a charming building in the centre of Strasbourg. The menu concept is 5, 7 or 9 course tasting menus. I went for the 9 courses, and every single one was delicious, beautifully presented and made from the finest ingredients. I would give the food 6 stars if I could. Service is very attentive, friendly and professional. Staff go out of their way to ensure guests have an excellent experience. I was seated on the top floor with a full view of the kitchen, which in my opinion is the best seat in the house. After many visits to 1741 I can, without hesitation, give this restaurant my very best recommendation.

Wonderfully delicious French food, most delicious escargot I have ever tasted. A truly memorable culinary experience.

The waiter were very welcoming and obliging, the food and drinks were very delicious and indian, we enjoyed it a lot. Prices totally fair. Restaurant is close to city centre, walking distance. Highly recommend!

Nous &eacute;tions d&eacute;&ccedil;u &agrave; l&rsquo;arriv&eacute;e par la d&eacute;coration et l&rsquo;environnement du restaurant.Nous connaissions ce restaurant lorsqu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y avait pas encore de vue sur cette &eacute;norme parking mais sur des espaces verts.De surplus, il y avait un bruit strident, &eacute;pouvantable dans le parking, ce qui emp&ecirc;chait  toute conversation.En plus de la vue qui est  moche, la d&eacute;coration de la terrasse elle-m&ecirc;me n&rsquo;est pas terrible.&Agrave; vrai dire, les repas &eacute;tait tr&egrave;s corrects , mise &agrave; part les frites qui &eacute;taient br&ucirc;l&eacute;es et pleines d&rsquo;huile .&Eacute;galement, il semblerait qu&rsquo;ils soient un peu en manque de personnel, nous avons attendu presque la fin du repas pour avoir le vin et une bouteille d&rsquo;eau suppl&eacute;mentaire.Il suffirait de Cacher, la vue du parking et des immeubles par un peu de verdure, faire un effort au niveau de la cuisine, et cela pourrait &ecirc;tre tr&egrave;s bien.

En arrivant au restaurant un serveur nous a dit qu&#39;il n&#39;y avait pas de place et qu&#39;il pouvait seulement nous proposer une table au bar alors que nous avions r&eacute;serv&eacute; il y  a une semaine environ.Ce fut une grande d&eacute;ception et une situation inacceptable.La carte propos&eacute;e n&#39;est pas  non plus digne du Hilton

A lovely meal with my two-year old daughter in a historic winstub of Strasbourg. The food was tasty and hearty, the white beer I ordered ice-cold and delicious, and I really appreciated the warmth and helpfulness of the servers who made me and my little one feel welcome and assisted us with carrying the stroller in and out of the restaurant, set up a high chair, etc. Many restaurants would be much less receptive to a young child coming for dinner (however early) so this was much appreciated. The Alsatian fried potatoes were delicious, as was the salmon in Riesling sauce over sauerkraut. We both enjoyed the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream: the strudel was served warm and had a delicious balance between sweet, tangy and mildly spicy from the cinnamon. Delicious.
